KARINE EVRARD
Karine is doing fantastic window work, from Church restorations to very modern off-the-wall panels.
Richards work reflects his interest in architecture and the way in which
light can be manipulated through an aperture by the selective use of glass.
Most of his projects are site-specific, decorative and functional. He
enjoys the challenge of working within the constraints of a particular
setting and finding practical solutions to the problems of illumination.
His work not only involves windows, he also creates three-dimensional
glass sculptures and Tiffany style lamps, together with mirrors, sun-catchers,
mosaics and various pieces of jewellery. He also has a keen interest in
re-cycling and has made a lot of objects form re-cycled glass.
Caen, Normandy:
Contemporary approach to stained glass art by the artist Alisson Duvey with some exciting hot glass work. All in French, I am afraid.
In the heart of Brittany, in the classroom of an old schoolhouse is Ty Skol workshop and gallery. Claire Morris who learned the art of stained glass work in Glasgow moved to France in August 2007 and now makes and sells unique pieces here in the tranquility of the Breton countryside.
"While most of my own work is abstract and I have accepted commissions that reflect my own style, I have also made windows that are whimsical, traditional or classic."
Aletta and her husband are based at St Genies in France. They work on Windows, including Church windows, and Tiffany Lamps. Stained glass tuition offered. Technically good site that loads quickly.
