THE GLASS MAKERS OF SAINT-JUST

Introduction

click here to send an e-mail to Saint-Just Since 1826, the glassmakers of Saint-Just have been creating beautiful sheets of Antique Glass. Each sheet is mouth-blown in the centuries old traditional method. The skilled blowers bring life and movement to the surface of the glass, so that each sheet acquires its own individual character revealing the beauty of its imperfection. The naturally rich quality of this glass makes it suitable for restoration work,
stained glass creations, and many contemporary architectural applications.

Chateau de Versailles, SGG Colonial, SGG Vitrium Resist

Saint-Just's range of clear Antique Glass includes the Colonial, the Versailles and the Cordelé presenting the antique look of waving and more or less seeds and cords. All glass can be fabricated to suit new habitat comfort while keeping its original and rich look. It can be laminated or double glazed to improve thermal insulation, light transmittance, solar radiation and acoustic insulation.

Total thickness of finished glass varies from 9mm to 22.5mm to fit any size of wooden frames.

Among our references, we can list Versailles, the White House, the Palace of Het Loo and many city halls and historical buildings around the world.

Stained Glass Creations

The intense colours of Saint-Just mouth-blown glass generate exclusive new creations as well as restorations of stained glass art. The range of unique flashed glass is manufactured with one side being a mouth-blown glass and the other a fine coat of coloured enamel. This glass is ideal for etching (with sand or acid), allowing the design of motifs & logos and maximizing backlighting effects. For improved security and comfort, the glass can be laminated or encapsulated in a double unit of glass.
