This is the UK on-line stained glass magazine, and Stained Glass Register.
We bring you news (this page), tool and book reviews, and links to artists, tutors, suppliers, and stained glass around the world.
This web site is about stained glass, leaded windows, leaded lights, kiln fired painted glass, Tiffany lamps, fused & hot glass.
Chosen for being an attractive and quick loading web site and especially for this super picture of a panel in progress.
Tony BanfieldThrough Cathy Farber, we heard from Val, Tony Banfield's wife that he died in July. All had hoped his throat cancer had been caught early. Unfortunately this wasn't the case and in April, following an operation, he was told it had spread and that nothing more could be done.
Val is aware that Tony's contributions to Stained Glass News made him many "friends" (and probably a few enemies). They certainly entertained us all hugely. He was a lively and prolific contributor to our message board, and to stained glass in the UK. He will be sorely missed by us all. Our hearts go out to Val. RIP, Tony.
Do take a look if you like unusual stained glass.
Chosen for this amazing door panel which is truly evocative of the Norfolk Broads. Go and have a look at it full size.
Don't be put off by the splash page, just click on the welcome to get into the site.
Do join our Message Board if you are interested in talking about Stained Glass as well as working with it, admiring it, or owning it.
We list sites from world wide.
All traditional stained glass URLs are invited for consideration.
For a URL to be considered for the registers of Studios they must conform to all of the following criteria:
The site is primarily stained glass
The premises location has been made known to us
Any studio MUST be manufacturing its own stained glass items
Resellers of glass, hardware and patterns are not eligible for inclusion in the studio registers
We reserve the right to exclude any site
You should note that this is primarily a UK site. All
bona fide UK studios, professional and amateur are usually listed. Sites
from abroad or overseas, will only be listed if we think they would be
interesting for our UK artists and visitors.
