Greenwich Heritage Centre has this stained glass window which they are in the process of getting framed and displayed. It is believed to be around 150 years old and has always been on the Woolwich Arsenal site, where the Greenwich Heritage Centre is located. It depicts Edward III inspecting his artillery and the design may have been taken from an earlier piece of tapestry . The base of the window measures 252cm and the height is 118cm.
If you are interested in the project or the window you can contact Mary Edwards at the Greenwich Heritage Centre, Tel: 020 8854 2452
Chosen for the really good and inviting HOME page...and this design, of course.
