Here are the pictures DAVID Lilley took of the WELSHPOOL cinema, September 2004:

Please GIVE the pictures TIME TO LOAD...

Having read Rona's bit about the Hallbar, I looked at the Vivat website (great idea), but they were all booked for last weekend, so I ended up at the Albright Hussey Hotel just north of Shrewsbury. A 16th century house with the remains of a moat. We stayed in the Royalist suite. I would thoroughly recommend it. Their restaurant is also very good.

Welshpool CinemaBut to bring the discussion back to glass, while we were driving around on Saturday we found ourselves in Welshpool (a one horse town if ever there was one) where they have a small 1930's cinema.

It may look a bit shabby now but it had some interesting architecture and stained glass windows:

I was not able to get inside to take pics, but have some of the outside.
