CONGRATULATIONS TO AVRIL SILK WHO HAS WON SIX PIECES OF SPECTRUM IN our DECORATIVE GLASS SUPPLIES year 2005 DESIGN A STAINED GLASS WINDOW COMPETITION
We the judges found the standard very high, and were not sure that there would be a sufficient spread in the results. However, we found that our table of marks showed a tenedency for us to prefer the same designs, although sometimes with a different emphasis. Congratulations to you all, and Avril should now contact Decorative Glass Supplies to arrange the selection and delivery of her prize.
And the prize:
- 5 pieces Spectrum glass, handicraft size, selected by you from the Decorative Glass Supplies Catalogue, as follows:
- 1 piece in a hot colour from group 5,6 or 7
- 1 piece from group 1
- 3 pieces from group 2
- Post free UK mainland
Here are the rules that we applied:
- Only one entry per person/studio.
- UK mainland residents/studios ONLY.
- Designs should be for a window panel. Arepresentative cartoon is sufficient, as no working drawings are required.
- Designs must conform to accepted standards of design strength and "makeability" used when building traditional stained glass windows.
- Designs should be in Jpeg or Gif format, with proposed colour scheme shown. It is not a requirement to accurately show colour or glass texture.
- The design, in electronic format should not exceed 400 pixels square.
- NOTE: All entrants are requested to confirm that their entires can be shown on the free patterns page on this web site, available to be used by visitors to the site FOR OWN USE, not for resale.
- Entries should be submitted by e-mail. Include name and address, please.
- Closing date: 12th Sept 2005.
